Mrs. Whitaker was born March 30, 1947, in Columbus, MS, to the late Moloy and Mary Wright Robertson. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School and Vaughns Beauty College. Mrs. Whitaker spent 18 years as a cosmetologist and retired after 25 years with Zale's Corporation as a manger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bryan, and sister, Jeanne.
Survivors include her brother, Luther "Bubba" Robertson and his wife Demetra, grandchildren, Kelsey Critcher and her husband Cory, and Rivers Whitaker, great granddaughter, Braelyn Critcher, nephew, Justin Waters and his wife Cara and their children Cooper and Sam, mother of her grandchildren, Pam Anderson and her husband Brent, and the father of her son, Lonnie Whitaker and his wife Anne, and a host of cousins.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
