Religious Figure. He was abbot of Guadalupe and founder of the Congregation of Religious Daughters of Mary Immaculate of Guadalupe. In 1862 he entered the Pio Latin American College in Rome, studied theology and was ordained a priest in Tivoli, Italy, on June 11, 1865. On November 27 of the same year, he returned to Mexico. On November 12, 1867 he founded the Parish College of Our Lady of Guadalupe, later called Colegio de la Purísima; the San Luis Gonzaga school for boys and an asylum for orphan girls dedicated to San Antonio de Padua.
