Walter P. Dalke, 83, of 180 Seventh St., died Saturday at his home. He was born in Manistee on March 11, 1889, and lived here all his life. He married Anna Czewiski on May 26, 1914, in Manistee and retired from Morton Salt Co. in 1951. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Surviving are six sons, Joseph, Leonard, Felix, John and Raymond, all of Manistee and Richard of Las Vegas; three daughters, Mrs. Emmet (Helen) Maue of Onekama, Mrs. Leo (Bernadine) Jazdzyk of Muskegon, and Mrs. Rodney (Betty) Sorenson of Manistee; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Irene) Younger of Grand Rapids, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 1961 and three sons, Edward, Michael and Anthony. Relatives and friends will pray the rosary tonight at 7:30 at Herbert Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Ceslaus Klimowicz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
