Completed her earthly life at the Logan Regional Hospital at age 94. Born in Fairview, Wyoming. Daughter of Orrin Orlando and Mary Elizabeth Clark Barrus. Married Lynn Jay Olsen October 12, 1938 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Parents of five daughters and four sons. Childhood spent in Star Valley, Wyoming. Parents became officiators in the Logan LDS Temple. Graduated from Logan High School. Graduate of Utah State University with teaching degree, Class of 1936. Taught school in Garden City, Utah and Logan School District. Taught her own children the values and skills that would help them succeed in life. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With husband, served two LDS missions together. Served as an officiator in the Logan LDS temple for 14 years. Named Honorary Mother of the Year for the State of Utah in 1991.

Survived by children: Colleen (LaVel) Davis, Merlin (Susan) Olsen, Clark (Fawn) Olsen, Lorraine Olsen Elzinga, Gwen (Roy) Saltern, Phil (Connie) Olsen, Winona (Patrick) Barrett, Ramona (Ralph) Whitaker, and Orrin (Sandy) Olsen, 42 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband on April 17, 1981, parents, eight siblings, one son-in-law, and one grandchild.
