TROY – Paul G. Persico, 48, died suddenly Monday, June 3, 2013 at his residence. Paul was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. At the time of his death he was the executive chef at the Charlton Tavern, in Charlton, NY for the past 3 ½ years and had worked for several fine dining establishments in the local area and throughout the country.
Paul commanded smiles and joy with his easy wit and loving manner. He had a passion for fly fishing and was a member of the fly fisherman team Ammala. His other passion was skiing, whenever possible. Paul had a special love for animals, especially his canine companion, Jessie.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane Persico; siblings, Daniel Persico, Jr. (Brian), Peter Persico (Joanna), Catherine Brown (Jamie); partner, Christine Harrington; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Rivette; nephew, numerous nieces, and a large extended family. Paul was predeceased by his father Daniel M. Persico, Sr. and his brother Thomas J. Persico.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, June 7th at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM.
