YAKIMA - Marjorie A. Anderson, 96, of Yakima, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1911 in Tacoma, WA. Marjorie graduated from Stadium H.S. in Tacoma and was proud of the fact that she was able to attend her 70th class reunion.
Marjorie owned and operated the Country Drive-In from 1954 until it closed on Aug. 30, 2001. She also owned and operated Mobile Manor. Marjorie was a long-time member of the Washington St. Heart Assoc., serving as past-president, a 50 plus year member of the Zonta Club and a member of the Yakima Chamber of Commerce. She also was a member of the Republican Club, National Assoc. of Theater Owners and the Mobile Home Park Owners Assoc.
Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey (Linda) Anderson, Gregory (Peggy) Anderson and Brian (Irene) Anderson, all of Yakima. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, A.M. "Bud" Anderson (1981) and a brother, Chester.
At her request, no services will be held. Private inurnment will be held at West Hills Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Heart Association or the Union Gospel Mission c/o Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
