He was born in Hilham, Overton Co., TN to the late Edward and Savannah (Johnson) Masters.
He was a Minister for the Lord for many years and was a member of the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church and also was a school bus driver for Overton Co.
Bro. Dewey’s life was a testimony for each of us to live by, he was a true man of God and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his 2 daughters: Robbie (Johnny) Byrd and Lisa (Dan) Poskevich; his son: Chris (Tara) Masters; his sister: Virginia Conner; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years: Lena Pearl Masters; a sister: Connie Beechboard and a brother: Harold Gene Masters.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from the the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Jeremy Byrd officiating. Interment followed in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.
