MILLERSBURG - Helen E. “Jean” Young, 92, of Millersburg, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020 surrounded by her family after a period of declining health. Jean was born Feb. 1, 1928 in Holmesville to the late Harry Paul and Grace Marie (Ewing) Miller and was a 1946 graduate of Holmesville High School. She had owned and operated the Airport Inn for 22 years and owned the first pizza shop, Toni’s Pizza in Millersburg. Jean retired from Rodhes IGA. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Killbuck and had been an avid bowler having been a member of several leagues in Millersburg and Coshocton and had also taught Junior Bowling. She had a love for horses having owned and raced horses over the years and had enjoyed fishing. Jean loved her family and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren who will miss her greatly. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Toni and Alan Fair of Millersburg, George and Tracy Elliott of Mt. Vernon and Beverly and Tim Shaffer of Pickerington; her 4 grandchildren, Jacob Shaffer, Zachary Shaffer, Aubrey Gamertsfelder and Bryn Elliott and her step-sons and their wives, Brent and Phyllis Young of Fredericksburg and Brad and Amy Young of Wooster. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Elliott in 1968, Gary Olnhausen in 2006 and Paul Young in 2015; her parents and brothers, Leroy “Jake” Miller and Donald “Daisy” Miller. Graveside services will be Saturday, Sept. 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville with Rev. Rik Snyder officiating.
