LOSTANT- Emmett "Johnnie" Barr, 77, of 303 E. Third St., Lostant, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 4, 1999) at St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, where he had been a patient for three weeks.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mueller Funeral Home, Lostant, the Rev. Yong Brierly officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Lostant. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Masonic services by Lostant Lodge at 7 p.m., and visitation for one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Mr. Barr was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Lostant, the son of Herman T. and Frieda Heusel Barr. He married Doris Heider on Jan. 1, 1942, in Leonore. She survives.
His parents; a daughter, Edna Barr; and a sister, Elna Craig, preceded him in death.
