LARSON--Fred Waldemar Larson, age 51 years, resident of the Ferndale district for the past forty years, passed away at a local hospital Sunday morning, August 24, following a lingering illness. Mr. Larson was born in Sweden, and served in the U. S. navy in the First World War. He is survived by the widow, Tillie; one daughter, Mrs. William Stabler, Everett; five sons, Lawrence, Ferndale, Walter, Bellingham, Leo, Blaine, Douglas and Robert at home; four sisters, Mrs. Ralph Bettis, Seattle, Mrs. James Donald, Bellingham, Mrs. James McDonald, laurel, Mrs. Vernon Pedigo, Everett; one brother, Wilfred, Everett; two grandchildren, Gloria Jean and Betty Jo Stabler. Funeral services will be conducted at the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale, Wednesday, August 27, at 1:30 p.m. by Rev. Robert McFarlane, Bellingham. The Kulshan Post of the American Legion at Ferndale will have charged of the graveside services.
