Thomas-Alexis, born at Yamachiche on 5 April 1836, was the son of François and Marguerite Pothier. He was ordained on September 21, 1862. In turn, he was vicar to Sainte-Croix-de-Lotbinière, Saint-Guillaume-d'Upton, parish priest at Saint-Bonaventure-d'Upton for 24 years, and then to Stanfold. He was vice-chancellor of the diocese of Nicolet. He died in Quebec City on March 20, 1907 and was buried in Princeville.
