Roberta “Bert” Sue Alfaro, 81, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at home. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Rosary 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. both at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS.

Roberta was born in Louisville, KY on August 17, 1939, to the late Ella (Carr) and Gerald Goucher. She was an assistant city clerk and a Senior Center director. She was a member of the Jaycees and the St. James Altar Society. She enjoyed painting and reading. Bert was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. On December 26, 1957 she married Trinidad “Trini” Alfaro who survives her. She is also survived by: sons, Jeff Alfaro and wife Renee, David Alfaro and wife Shelly, Greg Alfaro and wife Suzanne; daughter, Angie Lara and husband Raymond; sister, Kay Hill; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Goucher, Lynn Goucher; sisters, Lois Chance, Gerry Berger.
