Mrs. Garner Dead
Catherine Garner was born in Salem, Jackson county, Ind., May 12, 1827, died at home in Mooreland, Okla., May 19, 1912, age 85 years and 7 days.
She was converted when but a young girl and joined the Methodist church of which she was a member at the time of her death.
Sister Garner was a loving and affectionate wife and mother and a true type of a follower of the Christ. She was conscious to the last and spoke of hearing chimes of Heaven playing and wanted to be dressed Sunday morning as she was going to a higher church and told her loved ones to meet her in heaven.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church, Monday at 2 o’clock, Rev. Edward Broom officiating. Interment in the Mooreland cemetery.
