He had been a resident of Unity for over 50 years until moving to Benton in 1986. He was employed by the H.P. Hood Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the Star in the West Masonic Lodge 85 in Unity since 1943 serving as Master for two terms. He was a former seventh degree Troy Grange member.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler and golfer. He was also a member of the Maine Big Bucks Club.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Althea Gardiner Lasselle of Waterville; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Phyllis) Loubier of Reading, Mass. and Mrs. Paul (Dolores) Parent of Benton; three sisters, Ethelyn Lasselle of Hallowell, Athene Connelley of Portland and Irene Braley of Troy; three grandchildren.
