She came to San Francisco, California in the early 1870's. Married Charles A. Shibell there in 1878 and moved to Tucson, Arizona where he was the sheriff of Pima County and later County Recorder.
Mrs. Shibell was survived by her son Lionel J. Shibell and his wife of Oakland, California, and daughter Mrs. Orpha Foster of Tucson, Arizona. Lionel died on December 30, 1933 at Oakland, California and Orpha died on June 22, 1941 in Los Angeles, California.
In addition she was survived by four step-children: Mrs. Mary (Herbert) Brown and Miss Lillie M. Shibell of Tucson; Mrs. Mercedes S. Gould of New York City and Charles Barron Shibell of Portland, Oregon.
