Angele was born in Berck Plage, France on Dec. 16, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Marcelle Debout. As a young woman during World War II, Angele was studying to be a nurse when she met her husband, Wilfred Allen, a cook for the many troops coming to Bougere Hospital for treatment. They fell in love and were married in Paris, eventually returning to the United States with Wilfred at the end of his tour of duty. They resided in Merrimac in a house fully stocked by Wilfred's welcoming family with everything the young bride would need. Their kitchen was her special place, and together their love of food, family and friends brought many people to their table, sharing delicious food, much of it French, and magnificent pastries. She used her creativity and talent in the creation of beautiful wedding cakes, French pastries and the many desserts which she lavished on those she loved.
She worked alongside Wilfred at Lucent, retiring after 25 years.
They traveled to France many times to visit her beloved family, as well as to many places around the United States, delighting in enjoying the beautiful sights of her new country.
She leaves behind the people who were the light of her life, her husband of 65 years, Wilfred Allen;
