Genella (Alcorn) Smith was born May 23, 1937, and passed away on Nov. 10, 2016, from complications due to Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Durango, Colorado to James Idas Alcorn and Gladys Moxley Alcorn. She was raised in St. John and Deseret and moved to Tooele in her teens. She was married to Kenneth R. Daly on March 14, 1955, and had two children, Bob Daly and Karen (Daly) Shafer. They were later divorced. She married Wilbur Smith in Aug. 1971. He preceded her in death in January 2002. She worked at the Tooele Army Depot for 30 years and retired in 1995. She loved the Utah Jazz, square dancing and being with her family. She is survived by her son, daughter, stepdaughter Janice (Larry) Anderson and her sister Beverly (Sharion) Caldwell. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chris (Beth) Daly, Megan (Jayson) Harper, Jeff Ward and Eric Ward and six great-grandchildren. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Tate Mortuary. Graveside service to follow
