He is survived by his wife of 72 years Elizabeth (Farver) Bell, sons Richard and Terry, daughters Carol Garber, Sharon Pugliese and Maureen, four grandsons Shawn (Brittany Chestnut) and Matthew (Erin) Stevens, Michael Bretz, and Bryan Bell, and his several nieces and nephews. Also, his very good friends Peter and Helen McCoullum. He retired after many years as a self-employed contractor. He attended Penn State University and passionately followed their football program.
He proudly served in the Air National Guard during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 272 Linglestown.
A private service will be held for family with burial at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the services. In keeping with current health guidelines, attendees are encouraged to exercise proper precautions including the wearing of face coverings and appropriate social distancing. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the .
