Obituary from Post Register (Idaho Falls, ID) - December 6, 1990:
Manuel LaMar Benson, 35, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Idaho Falls, died November 29, 1990, at Salt Lake City of cancer.
He was born June 21, 1955 at Rigby, to Rondo and Ana Torres Benson. He received his early education in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also graduated from Ricks College in Rexburg, attended Carrol College in Montana, and Idaho State University in Pocatello.
He was employed by the Sacred Heart Hospital in the emergency room and was an ambulance driver for EG&G.
He moved to California for two years where he worked in Banking. He returned to Salt Lake City and worked for First Security Bank.
He was a member of the LDS Church and enjoyed skiing and other sports.
Survivors include his parents of Idaho Falls.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Idaho Falls 21st LDS Church, 1155 E. First St., with Bishop Jay Harris officiating.
