Alan Ray Atkinson, 63, of Albany, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Larry Kimbrel will officiate.
Born March 22, 1957 in New Port Richey, FL, Mr. Atkinson was the son of the late Tom Watson Atkinson, Sr. and Agnes Morey Atkinson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, member of Acorn Pond Baptist Church and retired from Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Atkinson was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Atkinson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Atkinson of Albany; daughter, Teresa Atkinson Newell (Jim Murray)of Parrott; sons, Michael Atkinson (Tiffany) of Sylvester, Alan Atkinson (Melissa Adkins) of Sylvester; brothers, Wayne Atkinson, Tony Atkinson, Dewey Atkinson, Terry Atkinson, Glenn Atkinson; sister, Mary Lee King of Hudson, FL; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
