Mr. Larry D. "Toad" Ayler, age 65, of 4713 N. State Road 62, Madison, Indiana, entered this life on Nov. 15, 1941, in Manville, Indiana, the son of Lyter "Jake" & Nadine L. Demaree Ayler, both of whom preceded him in death. He was raised in the Manville & Brooksburg area and was a 1959 graduate of Central High School on Ryker's Ridge. He was united in marriage to Ruby Lee Alexander and to this union arrived two sons: Jeff & Brian, to bless their home. He was later united in marriage on October 27, 1979, to Bonnie L. Hand at the Wirt Baptist Church, this added a step son: Troy Adams to his family. He was a member of the Manville Christian Church, where he was baptized. He was first employed with Adler's Service Station in Madison and later worked for seven years at the old Conn Organ Company. He retired in 1996, after a thirty year career with Public Service of Indiana, beginning as a meter reader and retiring as a lineman. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 9 and the Madison Moose Lodge. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, NASCAR races especially driver Jeff Gordon. He treasured his time with his family and socializing with his many friends. Since his retirement he enjoyed working as a private electrician. Larry died Friday, September 14, 2007, at 8:14 pm at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.


A LOVING FAMILY
Larry will be missed by his loving wife: Bonnie L. Hand Ayler of Madison, Indiana; his sons: Jeff Ayler of Madison, Indiana and Brian Ayler of Madison, Indiana; his step son: Troy Adams of Lancaster, Indiana; his grandchildren: Russell & Zachary Adams; his mother in law: Ruth Noryse of Madison, Indiana; several cousins & other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father: Lyter "Jake" Ayler died in 1973; his mother: Nadine L. Demaree Ayler died in 1990.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 2:00 pm, by Bro. Bob Hicks, at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East SR 62, Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.


VISITATION
Friends may call Monday from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of the service at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East SR 62, Madison, Indiana.


MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS
Memorial contributions may be made to Brooksburg Cemetery Association or Olive Branch Cemetery Association or the Salvation Army. Cards are available at the funeral home.
