WILBUR S KENASTON
Wilbur S Kenaston, a resident of Aitkin since 1929, passed away in a Minneapolis hospital July 18, 1945. Mr. Kenaston had been a patient at the hospital since he had taken ill last February.
Wilbur Kenaston was born at Plymouth County, LaMars, Iowa, Nov. 6, 1870. He was married to Ora Talbert in Dec. 1895. Three sons were born to this union. Mrs. Kenaston passed away in 1902.
He remarried in 1906 to Lillian Hadagus of Lemon, S. D.
Mr. Kenaston was a road contractor in North Dakota before coming to Aitkin. He had many friends and was well-liked by all.
Surviving are seven children: Wayne Kenaston of San Diego, Calif.; Lyle Kenaston, Ramon, Calif.; Eugene Kenaston, Anchorage, Alaska; Francis L. Kenaston, F 1-c; Harold Kenaston, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Luay Klappenbach of Aitkin, and Nora Cook, Minneapolis. Thirteen grandchildren and five sisters also mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held at the Peterson funeral home in Minneapolis Friday evening, July 20. Services were also held at La Mars, Iowa. Interment was at Adaville cemetery at LeMars.
