Owens, Ruby Sharp. 98, passed away April 29, 2022. She was born on May 1, 1923, in Stanford Kentucky to the late 0. L. Sharp and Flossie Sharp.
Her passion in life was playing the piano at church, nursing homes and for friends. She also played for the residents at the Atria Assisted Living Facility where she resided.
She was a retired manager from Bycks.
She was a tong time member or St. Matthews Baptist Church over 50 years.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Eldridge Owens (Ed), sisters Mary Weber, Eliza Lee Owens, Alene Aaron and brother,Charles Sharp, and her daughter Bonnie Potts.
She is survived by her son Dr. Eddie Owens (Bonnie Sue), Grandchildren Troy Potts, Chad Potts and five great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews at 12pm with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 10 am until time of service.
