Henrietta was the daughter of Gipson Compton (1838 - 1915) and Martha (Ross) Compton (? - abt. 1868). She married James Patrick "J. P." Joyce in 1892 and had four children. She was my 2nd Great Grandmother.

Mrs. Henrietta Joyce, 94, 1316 Yarboro Lane, died Saturday at 1:35 am at her residence.
She was born and reared in Trigg County and had been a resident of Paducah for a year. She was the widow of Jim Joyce.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred Joyce of Akron, Ohio and Elbert Joyce of Paducah; [illegible] grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at Lindsey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Grant L. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery in Trigg County.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The body is at Lindsey Funeral Home.
