Obituary
Funeral of Mrs. J. A. Adams of Dansville
Dansville, April 20 --The funeral of Mrs. Julia A. Adams, wife of the late Philip T. Adams, was held this afternoon at the family homestead on Seward Street, Rev. C.M. Herrick of the Presbyterian Church officiating. The news of the death of Mrs. Adams came as a great shock to Dansville people for she had been unusually well this spring, although an invalid for several years. Monday noon she dined with her son, Mayor Sireno F. Adams, with whom she made her home. In the middle of the afternoon she went to her room to rest as was her custom. When Mr. Adams went home to supper, he found her unconscious. He immediately summoned physicians but before they reached the home Mrs. Adams was dead.

Mrs. Adams is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sireno French of Conesus; and a sister of Byron W. French, a prominent insurance man who died in Chicago August 19, 1902. She was born in West Bloomfield 71 years ago. Mr. Adams died July 3, 1902. Mrs. Adams is survived by three children: Mayor Sireno F. Adams and Richard W. Adams of the George Sweet Manufacturing Company of Dansville; and Mrs. Jennie Egan of Newark NY; and one sister Mrs. Abner Adams of Rochester.

Among those who attended the funeral were Edward P. Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Webster of Rochester, and Robert T. Adams of Boston. The remains were taken to Conesus for interment in the family lot in Alger cemetery.
