Ernest Michael Chavez, 40, entered into this world on September 29, 1966. He was called home to the Lord Wednesday September 12, 2007. Ernie was faithful to God and a joyful spirit who loved being around people. His greatest pride and joy were his children. He enjoyed music by Santana, golfing with family and friends, a day at the park with his family and his side job of guarding the Phoenix Suns players. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, children Ernie Jr. Angelica, Michael and Matthew; His mother Josie, brothers Joe (Margie), Alfred (Rosie) Daniel and sister Irene (Tony) numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Joe Chavez (little Joe Chavez). Visitation will be Tuesday September 18 from 5PM to 8PM at Chapel of Chimes 7924 N. 59th Ave Glendale with Rosary at 7PM. Mass Wednesday September 19, 2007 10AM at St. Simon and Jude Cathedral 6351 N. 27th Ave, Phx, AZ- Internment Resthaven Park 6290 W. Northern Ave Glendale AZ.
