Stanley Montoya Gallegos

Stanley Montoya Gallegos died September 18, 2020, in Holbrook, AZ at the age of 82. He was born April 19, 1938, in McNary, AZ to the late Gabriela (Montoya) and Theodore Kline Gallegos, Sr.

He was a graduated member of Holbrook High School's - Class of '57. In 1958, he married Alice Montano (daughter of Joe and Aggie Montano) in Holbrook. He went to barber school in Phoenix and returned to Holbrook, where he barbered for more than 60 years at Stan's Barbershop. Along with his wife, he owned several other business including "Joe & Aggies Cafe", a Holbrook mainstay for decades. Additionally, he was immortalized in the Pixar movie, "CARS." Stanley, the founder of the town, Radiator Springs, was characterized after him.

Stanley is survived by his son, Steven Gallegos and his sons: Aiden and Iseigha; his son, Troy Gallegos and his daughter Noreen "Ali" (Marcelino Luna) and their daughter, Ashlyn; his daughter, Sharlene (John) Gallegos Guttery and their children: Hailey, Willow and Erica (Zach) Young; and their children: Ivy, Flint and Clyde; Griffin (Morgan) Guttery and their sons: Dallas and Gavin; his daughtery, Kimberley A. Gallegos (Tami Fish) and their children: Anna Soke and her children: Arianna, LayLianna and Julian; Eric Soke, Jr. and his son, Xavier; YeVonna Fish and her children: Bailey and Ace. He is also survived by his siblings: Gilbert (Frances) Gallegos, Florence Trujillo; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Milo.

In addition to his parents and wife, Stanley was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Sally Gallegos, Sally Gallegos Martinez, Helen Maestas and Theodore Gallegos, Jr.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary and Memorial Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M., respectively, Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook.
