Billy W. Ayers, age 50, of LaFollette, passed away Sept. 4 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. He was preceded in death by Wesley Ayers and Martha Wells; brother, Donnie Brian Ayers. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ayers; daughters, Kristie Tipton and Tosha Ayers, all of LaFollette; grandchildren, Dylan and Amber Tipton; brothers, Lester and Gambrel Ayers of LaFollette; sisters, Lucille Jones and Gail Love of LaFollette, Rhona Page of Auburndale, FL, Shelia Camberlian of Lakeland, FL; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at the Cross Chapel with the Rev. Charles Jack Goins officiating. Interment was in the Hall Cemetery, Stinking Creek. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
