Calvin Aaron, 89, Adair County, KY (1927-2017)

Calvin was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had served as assistant Sunday school teacher in the adult Sunday School Class. He was a leading farmer, whose farm was always maintained in picture postcard perfection, and whose progressive practices were emulated by many others. He was a member of the Adair County Cattleman association and was a faithful member in the Adair County Gideon Camp. He was the son of the late Edd & Bonnie Hudson Aaron. His wife, Allene Collins, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants, spanning three generations.

Calvin Aaron age 89 years, of Glensfork Community, Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 12amCT, at Signature Health at Summit Manor Nursing & Rehab Center, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William R. Davenport, Rev. Cecil Bud Wells, Dr. Ronald Wesley and Rev. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Interment in Grant Cemetery at Glensfork. Visitation will be after 3:30pmCT, Sunday, July 2, 2017.

He was born on August 13, 1927 at Montpelier, KY. He was the son of the late Edd & Bonnie Hudson Aaron. He died Satuday, July 1, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 19 days. He was preceded in death by one sister & two brothers, Edna Aaron, Bobby Aaron & Norman Aaron.

He is survived by his wife: Allene Collins Aaron of Glensfork, KY and the following:
One daughter: Annette Keltner & husband Greg of Glensfork, KY

One brother: Alfred (Doris) Aaron of Cincinnati, Ohio

One Granddaughter: Laramie (Bart) Pelston of Columbia, KY

Great Grandchilden: Greyson Pelston & Dawson Pelston
