Virginia had been Secretary for State Farm Insurance, was a life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary a long-time member of the VFW and a member of First Christian Church in Pittsfield since 1988. Virginia was baptized into the Christian Church at age eleven by her grandfather, Rev. P.M. Durham in Edwards County, IL.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Tice, Sr., sons, John Tice, Jr. and Steven R. Tice and two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Gill.
