Ruth Makarewicze, formerly of North Sherman Street, Wilkes-Bare, died Monday at University Hospital, Tampa, Fla.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Gemberling, Tampa, Fla.; a son, Ellsworth J. Haas, Nanticoke; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Recupero Funeral Home, 141 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Louis Falcone officiating.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
