MAX EDMUND ALBAUGH middle son of James W.W. and Zelma [Hill] Albaugh, was born at Leon, Iowa on June 24, 1932 and passed away peacefully at home near Decatur, Iowa at the age of 77 Years on April 21, 2010.

Max was a life long farmer as well as working various jobs, including school bus driver, several county positions, Sinclair and Phillips 66 service stations, and propane route service. he was a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church.

Max was united in marriage to Mary Elaine Clawson on October 13, 1950. They were blessed with a family of four children, Rebecca Jo and husband Bruce Stofira of Portland, Indiana, William Lloyd Albaugh and wife Teresa of Tok, Alaska, Kathryn Louise Kelley and companion Harley Griffieon of Decatur, and Karen Sue and husband Tom Shields of Lenox, Iowa, eight grandchildren, ant twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Morris Albaugh, and brother-in-law Maurice Thomas. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Elaine Albaugh; his four children and families; brother Marion Albaugh and wife Arlene of Lake Forest, California; sisters-in-law, Mildred Albaugh and Beulah Thomas, both of Leon, Iowa; cousins; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
