Born on October 11, 1925 in Washington County, IN, he was the son of Simon Rockey and Alice (Applegate) Rockey. He was a factory worker having worked for the Morgan Packing Plant in Austin, IN.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Hazel McCoskey and two brothers: Elmer and Harold Rockey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 18th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kyle Witmer officiating. Graveside committal will follow at 2:30 pm in the Bethel Cemetery South East of Salem, IN. Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour.
