Charles Elwood Spell, 67, of 910 Neuse Road, Kinston, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004.
He was a self-employed electrical contractor, a member of Southwest Christian Church, and a member of the Elks Lodge, where he was a hunter safety instructor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Casey Spell, and father, Ocie Elwood Spell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa S. Daughety and husband, Mac; one son, Chuck Spell; a foster daughter, Kathy Heckman; a sister, Alice S. Bruton and husband, Frazier, all of Kinston; five grandchildren, Matthew and Mallory Daughety, Caleb Spell, and Joey and Marshall Heckman, all of Kinston; and his special dog and companion, Lucy.
