Pheobe Johnson, 93, of 1250 W. Carl Sandburg Drive, formerly of 121 W. Simmons St., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at the Rosewood Healthcare Center.
She was born on July 9, 1914 in Galesburg, the daughter of Arthur and Lillian McGahey St. George. She married Elmer W. Johnson in Monmouth, IL on August 9, 1929. He preceded her in death January 14, 1990.
She is survived by two sons, Howard W. "Hod" (Cheryl) Johnson and Richard C. (Nina) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Vilardo and Lillian Johnson, seven brothers and two sisters.
She worked for Community School District #205 in the lunch program for 25 years retiring in 1975.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
