Louise Elizabeth Bruslé, the daughter of PHILIPPE ANTOINE BRUSLÉ and his wife MARTHE FREMONT, was reportedly born on 24 August 1717 on Isle Dauphin, Province of Louisiana (Dauphin Island, Mobile, Alabama).

On 30 September 1735 she entered into a marriage contract in New Orleans, Louisiana with Versailles native JOSEPH de FAVROT, Pensioner of the King, former Officer of the Troops at Natchez, son of the deceased JOSEPH de FAVROT, former Engineer at the Camp at Manchac of the King's Army, Brigadier of the Army, and of Dame FRANCOISE BOUVRIE. The marriage was to be solemnized in the Holy Roman Apostolic Catholic Church, but like many records of that time period, the register entry containing that marriage has been lost.
Louise and Joseph, called Claude Joseph or Joseph Claude at times, went on to have at least three children:
1. Louise born abt. 1740 (many say she was born 11 Sep 1737, but I've been unable to find a source for her date of birth). She would marry Alexandre Francois Joseph DeClouet in 1761.
2. Jean Baptiste bn. 28 March 1745 and
3. Pierre Joseph bn. 21 July 1749. Pierre Joseph would marry Marie Francoise Guerard in 1783 and serve under Bernardo de Galvez in the Spanish Louisiana militia, against the British during the American Revolution. His descendants qualify for membership in the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution who list his surname as de Favrot.

Louise and Claude Joseph traveled back to France possibly to obtain special medical care for Louise. She ended up dying in the street on 13 April 1768 in the area surrounding the church of Saint-Merri in Paris, France. She was buried the next day in the Cemetery of the Innocents. Her burial abstract, filed in the civil archives of Orleans Parish, Louisiana, indicate she was about 51 years old and was the widow of Claude Joseph de Favrotte. However, according to documents from Paris regarding a tutor and under-tutor for their minor son, Pierre Joseph, also found in the Orleans Parish archives, indicate that Claude Joseph made appearances before the King's Counsellor in Paris on April 18 and 22, 1768.

Many family trees indicate that Claude Joseph de Favrot died 6 Nov 1777 at the Charity Hospital in Senlis, France, but no such record can be found in their register between the dates of 1776-1779.
