Bodell fellowshipped with the believers of Shorewood Bible Church in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting and baking. Bodell loved spending time with her family. She blessed them using her talents making quilts, blankets, afghans, and embroidered kitchen towels. She made every family member feel special. She remembered every birthday and anniversary with cards. She always made sure there was plenty of food whenever we gathered or someone stopped by to visit. She knew everyone's favorite dish and made sure to provide it when they came. Most importantly, she understood her salvation and the fact that her sins were covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. Her prayer was that her family and friends would also come to understand this.
Bodell is remembered by her children, Sharon (Larry) Kolb of Woodbury, Minnesota, Karen (Jeff) Halverson of Staples, Minnesota, and Pam (Bob) Kinny of Balaton, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, Alex (Lydia), Peter (Krystal), Laura (Tyler), Kristie (Luke), Ryan, Damon, Aleeah, Isaac, Grace, Josh (Hannah), Rachel, and Jacob; 19 great-grandchildren, Emily, Caleb, Nora, Elizabeth, Ben, Abigail, Margaret, Annabelle, Emmett, Audrey, Aveah, Alayna, Jasen, Olivia, Aubrey, Andrew, Eliana, Amia, Mateo; and sisters, Agnes Fillaus, Harriet Olson, and Arlene (Wayne) Pederson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Andersen; father, Chris Andersen; sister, Lillian Nielsen; and brother, Harmon Andersen.
