Tabor City - Samuel Hilton Blackburn, 82, of Route 1, Clarendon, died Saturday morning in Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville. A native of Horry County, SC, Mr. Blackburn was the son of the late Perry and Eudella Futrell Blackburn.

Final rites were held Sunday at 4:30 at the Inman Chapel by the Revs. Grover Faulk, George Smith and Jackie Goodwin, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lizzie P. Blackburn, sons Charles Blackburn, Paul Blackburn and Robert Blackburn of Clarendon: daughters Mrs. Thelma Spivey of Dublin, GA, Mrs. Louise Graham of Chadbourn and Mrs. Edith Gray Watts of Tabor City; sisters Mrs. Beulah Turbeville, Mrs. Bromo Hinson and Mrs. J.C. Jernigan of Tabor City, Mrs. Edna Fipps and Mrs. Lorene Cribb of Elizabethtown.
