Barbara Jean (Richardson) Weaver, 84, of Casa Grande, passed away peacefully in her home on September 25th, after a brief battle with cancer.

She will be interred in Bow, Washington, at the Bow Hill Cemetery where she spent countless hours photographing graves for her life's work. Spending much time there, she grew to love this small, country cemetery where she will Rest In Peace.

Barbara was born in Evans, New York in August of 1936 to Kenneth George and Norma Elizabeth Richardson.

She graduated high school and completed two years of study at Ohio State University before marrying her first husband, Bob Morrison.

After divorcing, Barbara became a single mother, raising three energetic boys while working days as a legal secretary and studying in the evenings to become a teacher.

She graduated from the University of Arizona and accepted her first teaching position in Show Low, Arizona in 1978.

In 1986 she married the love of her life, LeRoy Weaver, in Reno, Nevada, and they settled in Issaquah, Washington.

During the 1990's Barbara transitioned from teaching to working for a travel agency. She loved to travel with LeRoy. Together they traveled to Europe, enjoyed many cruises, including one which traversed both coasts of South America.

She had a passion for the study of genealogy. Fueled by this passion, she uploaded more than 53,000 photos to the internet to help families doing genealogical research.

Barbara is survived by her husband LeRoy, two sons, four stepchildren, and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her younger sister Beverly Jane, and her son Craig (Gregg).

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
