Marian Bragan Dreher Lewis 1925-2022 Marian Bragan Dreher Lewis peacefully went to be with the Lord at her home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Marian was born on June 20, 1925, in Birmingham, Alabama. Marian attended Martin Grammar School and Phillips High School. Marian worked at Acipco, American Cast Iron Pipe Company, where she met her husband, Carl. Marian and Carl were part of the Acipco family for over 85 years. Marian and Carl lived by the Golden Rule. Marian was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. She was an active member in Aylwin Study Club, Missionary Circle's, McDorman Sunday School Class, Children's Service League at Lakeview School, Sewing Club, and the neighborhood Bridge Club. Marian was a needlepoint enthusiast. She was avid baseball and Alabama Football Fan. Marian was predeceased by her parents, George and Corrine Bragan; her husbands, Carl Julian Dreher, and John Wiley Lewis; her son, Alan Julian Dreher; her brothers, George, Walter, Robert, Lionel, Peter and Jimmy. Marian is survived by her sons, Paul Alton Dreher (Isabelle) and George Roland Dreher (Leigh Ann); daughter-in-law Patricia Davis Dreher; grandchildren, Shaun Dreher Flynn (Hayes), Bragan Dreher Petrey (Banks), Elizabeth Dreher Lawrence (Reed), Mackenzie Dreher Rodgers (Dave), Maggie Dreher Baggett (Evan), Paul Alton Dreher, Jr. (Susan), Julie Dreher Goodkind (Travis), George Roland Dreher, Jr. (Caroline), and Mila Dreher Hirsch (Joe); great grandchildren, Payton Flynn, Robert Flynn, Coleman Petrey, James Petrey, Forest Petrey, Isabelle Lawrence, James Lawrence, Wynn Rodgers, Wells Rodgers, Till Baggett, Davis Baggett, Alan Baggett, Asher Goodkind, Corrine Goodkind, Whit Alan Goodkind, Winslow Dreher, Claire Drummond, Rex Hirsch and Ida Hirsch; brother Frank Rowland Bragan; sister-in-laws, Margean Cummings and Sarah Bragan; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. A funeral service in Marian's honor will be held at First United Methodist Church in the main sanctuary on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow service in the parlor.
