He was born in the town of Nekimi, Winnebago county, Sept. 5, 1867, and had lived in Oshkosh for 30 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude James; a daughter, Mrs. E. C. Hubbard, Sand Springs, Okla.; and a son. Harold T. James, Houston, Tex. Also surviving are n sister, Mrs. E. W. Jones. Route 4, Oshkosh; a brother, Edward James, Spencer, la.; and two grandchildren, Stanley and James E. Hubbard, Sand Springs, Okla.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced later.
