Following an illness of only n few hours, David L. James died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, 263 Merritt street. Death was the result of pneumonia. Mr. James was in apparently good health until last evening and had just returned from a visit with a brother in Iowa.
He was born in the town of Nekimi, Winnebago county, Sept. 5, 1867, and had lived in Oshkosh for 30 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude James; a daughter, Mrs. E. C. Hubbard, Sand Springs, Okla.; and a son. Harold T. James, Houston, Tex. Also surviving are n sister, Mrs. E. W. Jones. Route 4, Oshkosh; a brother, Edward James, Spencer, la.; and two grandchildren, Stanley and James E. Hubbard, Sand Springs, Okla.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced later.
