OLD RESIDENT OF ANACONDA IS DEAD
Octave Bilodeau Succumbs After Illness of Many Years.
Octave Bilodeau, an Anaconda resident for the past 38 years, died yesterday morning at his home, 512 East Fourth street, of rheumatism. He suffered from this ailment for 18 years, the malady keeping him confined to his bed for the last 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lea Bilodeau; two children, Napoleon Bilodeau and Mrs. Justin Jobin, both of Anaconda, and five brothers, of whom Alphonse and Lawrence reside in Anaconda, and Paul, Joseph and Calix live in Canada. Two sisters also survived Mr. Bilodeau--Mrs. R. Fournier and Mrs. J. Gangon, both of Canada.
Mr. Bilodeau was born in St. Clair, Canada, Dec. 15, 1867, and came to Anaconda 38 years ago. He was employed in the foundry department of the smelter until his afflicition rendered him unable to work. He was 58 years old at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Jean the Baptist society.
The body will be taken to the family residence from the Finnegan undertaking parlors this afternoon and the funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's church.
