Patt Anson, Checotah resident, passed away on October 5, 2020 in Eufaula, OK at the age of 83. He was born on Monday, September 20, 1937 to Kenneth and Ruth (Bond) Anson in Wewoka, OK. He grew up in Tecumseh, OK where he graduated from Tecumseh High School excelling in track and field competition and baseball. He was an avid golfer and pool player and attended nationals. Patt also played professional baseball and enjoyed fishing. Patt was married to Delores, then to Patsy and later to Carol. He worked as a butcher for Humpty Dumpty, as a meat director for Doc’s in Bixby, and as a meat director and butcher for Nichol’s Grocery in Checotah until he retired in 2006. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Checotah. Patt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Anson; his son, Ryan Derek Anson; his step-son, Jeff Harrison; his two sisters, Janet and Mickie. He is lovingly survived by his son, Greg Alan Anson and his wife Kim of Arlington, TX; his daughter, Adoris Craig and her husband, Gary of Tecumseh, OK; his grandchildren, Brandon Fry, Brett Fry, Brittny Rogers, Bailey Anson, Max Harrison, Van Harrison, Katie Craig and Kyle Craig; his great grandchildren, Addison Rogers, Adileigh Rogers, Jamie Anson Elliott, Isabella Anson Justice, Adam Fry, Eric Fry, and David Fry. Patt is also survived by his former wife, Patsy Jo Collum Anson as well as other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
