Elizabeth K. Friesen age 91 of Henderson, went to be with her Lord & Savior on March 11, 2007. She was born on February 5, 1916 to Gerhard & Katharina (Friesen) Epp in rural York County. On December 12, 1937 she was married to George T. Friesen. During their married years she enjoyed working as a homemaker, quilting and all the things involved in homemaking. She also enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
Remaining to cherish her life and memory are: two sons Marlyn and Maureen Friesen, Freeman, SD and Clayton and Gilma Friesen, Henderson, NE, daughter Myra and John Heegle of Randolph, NE, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Alfred and Vera Epp, Henderson and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Graveside services was Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Bethesda Cemetery at Henderson. Memorial services were at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. Memorials may be directed to the Bethesda Radio Broadcast Fund or the Mennonite Central Committee.
