Death of Rev. Siebert
The community was grieved this morning to learn of the death of Rev. Rudolph Carl Siebert, which occurred last evening shortly after five o'clock at a hospital in Omaha, where his condition has been critical, and his life despaired of for the past several days, as the result of pluro-pneumonia following an attack of Spanish influenza. Every attention that medical science and loving hands could give was administered, but to no avail, and his demise came last evening after a slight rally yesterday morning when relatives had hoped for his recovery.
Rev. Siebert was born November 11, 1890, and was 28 years, one month and six days of age at the time of his death. After completing his work in the elementary schools in this city (Grand Island, Nebraska), for six years he was a student of the St. Paul Seminary at St. Paul, Minn., attended the Theological Seminary at St. Louis for three years, and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1916. He was ordained to the Lutheran ministry, and accepted a pastorate at Humboldt, Neb., and later accepted a charge at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church at Omaha, of which he was pastor until death called him.
He was married to on November 5, 1916, to Miss Bertha Redman, daughter of H. A. Redman, of Doniphan, and besides leaving his bereaved widow, he leaves to mourn his untimely loss, a six months old daughter, Lois, his parents, Ms. and Ms. Rudolph Siebert, residing southwest of this city, two brothers, Renard and Walter, and four sisters, Miss Eda, Mrs. Fred Ernstmeyer, of Hayland, Neb., Mrs Walter Luers, of this city, and Mrs. Fred Deyke, of Columbus, Nebraska obit courtesy of diaNEB (#47466150)

The many friends of the Redman family were saddened to learn of the death of Rev. R. C. Siebert in Omaha Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran Trinity church in Grand Island at 12:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment was made in Cedar View cemetery. Sickness and the storm and condition of the roads kept many from attending the service. The sympathy of all goes out to the family and especially to the young wife and little daughter.
