Donald C. Fraser, 91, of Naples , FL, formally of Franklin, MA, passed away at home with family at his side, in Naples, FL on July 13, 2018, after a period of declining health. A proud American, Donald gave over 24 years of service in both the Army and Air Force; a time which spanned WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He received numerous medals including the Bronze Star.
Donald was born and raised in Franklin, MA, a son to the late John W. and Ruth (Gould) Fraser. After high school Don enlisted in the US Army. After an honorable separation he continued his service in the US Air Force until his retirement as a Senior Master Sergeant.
After serving, Donald continued to work as a superintendent of shipping and receiving for Central Supply –Plumbing and Heating Co until his retirement. Don enjoyed spending time on the golf course and was a longtime member of the Cape Neddick Country Club in Maine and the Island Country Club on Marco Island. He was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and member of the First United Methodist Church of Westborough and United Church of Marco Island.
Donald leaves behind his wife, Penelope "Penny" (Smith) Fraser, two sons, Richard W. Fraser of Douglas, MA and Steven M. Fraser and his wife Deb of Franklin, MA, a stepson, Gregory and his wife Sally Sneden of Seattle, WA; a stepdaughter, Catherine Dell'Erba and her husband Marty of Shrewsbury; 6 grandchildren - Jessica, Eric, Brian, Matthew, Christopher and William and two great grandchildren, Nolan and Desmond . He also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three children, Linda, Scott and Donna and his eight brothers and sisters.
