Helen Eliza Brannan was born November 1, 1868 in the Town of Liberty, Sullivan Co NY to Dubois J and Hannah J Kracht Brannan (also burried in Rockridge.) She married William John Bolsum, at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage on 24 Nov 1887. She and John were the parents of a son Austin, and daughter Edna May (both buried here) The following note in the Middletown Daily Press, Monticello column notes:Jan 15 1892, "Mrs. William Bolsum very sick with diphtheria. She recently lost a son to the disease." Helen ran boarding houses in Monticello as did her in-laws the Bolsums. She died on 23 Oct 1947, in Monticello and was laid to rest with her husband and son.
