Mr. Jerry W. Stucker, age 53, of Madison, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Carroll County Hospital in Carrollton, Kentucky. He was born on April 3, 1954 in Madison, the son of William A. and Katherine Lucille (Berry) Stucker.

Mr. Stucker was a 1972 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School and held an associates degree in Master Firefighting. He was a firefighter at the former Jefferson Proving Ground in Madison. At the time of his death, he was serving as a firefighter/emergency medical technician in the loss prevention department of the Dow Corning Company in Carrollton. He had been at Dow Corning for the past eleven years.

His memberships included the First Baptist Church of Madison and Clifty 6 Fire and Rescue Volunteer Fire Company, where he had been a member for twenty-seven years. He was also a member of the Indiana Firefighters Association and the Kentucky Firefighters Association.

He enjoyed working with antique cars, bowling and spending time with his grandson.

Survivors include his wife, the former Teresa Phagan, to whom he was married on April 14, 1973 at the First Baptist Church, Madison; his parents: William A. and Lucille Stucker of Clearwater, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law: Brenton W. and Lynn Stucker of Carrollton, Kentucky, and Christopher L. and Dara Stucker of Fishers, Indiana; one grandson: Treyton Bailey Stucker of Carrollton; one sister and brother-in-law: Jolene and Brian White of Hanover two brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert and Kathy Stucker of Largo, Florida, and Randy and Patsy Stucker of Largo, Florida; his mother-in-law, June Heath of Madison; three brothers- and sisters-in-law: Doug and Patty Phagan and Jeff and Peggy Phagan, all of Madison, and Troy and Angie Phagan of Vevay; one sister- and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Randy Mullins of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marida and Forrest Stucker and Harry and Florence Berry, and his father-in-law, James Phagan.

The Reverend Lewis Wright and Reverend Chuck Brumley will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Madison, with interment to follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Lytle Funeral Chapel, where the Clifty 6 Fire Company will conduct memorial services at 6:00 PM, and from 11:00 AM until time of services on Monday at the church.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Clifty Six Fire Company. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home and the church.
