She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Louise Adcock, husbands C. Phillip Neeley Sr. and Walter E. Powell, and great grandchild, Kaia Leigh Mataya.
She is survived by her sister, Meryl (Robert); children, Terri (Kem), Lynne, and C. Phillip (Colleen); her grandchildren, Tiffany (Raun), Charles (Samantha), Abby (Kyle), Sydney; loving niece, Libby (Adrian); and several great-grandchildren.
Needra was born in Lagrange, Georgia on December 9, 1939. She graduated from Massey Business School Atlanta in 1959. She lived in Slidell, LA for 40 years and enjoyed selling real estate throughout the area during that time. She loved her family and had a passion for cooking and entertaining. Those closest to her knew her as NeeNee. She was a strong woman and a fierce protector. Needra was full of life and loved to make those around her laugh. Football season was her favorite time of year, she enjoyed watching the Saints play and loved the SEC (except BAMA), go tigers!
A Private Graveside service and interment was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
