Mary Ione Johnson, 85, of Knox County Nursing Home died there Wednesday, April 22, 1998.
Born July 19, 1912, in Ponema to Earl and DeEtta Gordon Colbert, she married Charles Brokaw on Dec. 17, 1932, in Galesburg.
She later married Albert Johnson in October 1951. He died in 1953. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Dee) Fisher of Knoxville and Mrs. Spencer (Opal "Pokie") Zitka of Sandwich; one son, Charles "Ted" Brokaw of Moline; and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Helen) Stevenson of Monmouth.
She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the former Galesburg Research Hospital for 24 years.
Graveside services will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg.
